ELC is run by a team of professionals with over 70 years of combined working experience in Bulgaria. The areas of expertise of each team member come together to form a competent and professional workforce with knowledge of all walks of Bulgarian life.


   

Svetlana Aladjem
Owner and Manager

Svetlana has over twenty-five years of experience with adult education, training, teaching Bulgarian as a foreign language and project management. She has trained, consulted and presented to various national and local audiences as well as to foreigners. Her primary responsibilities are the development and marketing of ELC’s products, working with clients to tailor training programs to meet their needs, and coordinating with other Team members.

Svetlana is one of the founders and the first president of SIETAR Bulgaria and represents it in the Board of Directors of SIETAR Europe which is the world’s largest interdisciplinary network for professionals working in the intercultural field.

She has experience of living and working in UK.

Languages: English and Russian.


 

Dimitrina Boteva
Co-founder

Dimitrina has degrees in biology and environmental management, and a second degree in pedagogy.

She is experienced in living and working in a multicultural environment. She worked on internationally funded biodiversity conservation projects in Bulgaria for more than ten years. This experience, along with her love for nature, has given her a thorough knowledge of Bulgaria’s natural heritage. She is the best guide for Bulgarian nature on the team. Dimitrina oversees the organization of cultural excursions, and develops the modules on everyday life, as well as formulating tips and advice for the trainees.

Vladimir Galabov
Program Coordinator and Political Consultant

Vladimir is a recognized radio journalist and communications expert. He worked as a presenter and political analyst for the Bulgarian National Radio for more than fifteen years and in the Bulgarian Service of the BBC World Service in London for two years.

Vladimir has experience in Bulgaria’s civil society sector and over 12 years of experience as a media, communication and stakeholder involvement expert. With his extensive knowledge of Bulgarian political, economic and social life and international relations Vladimir is an asset to our team and clients.

Vladimir has experience of living and working in UK and Georgia.

Maria Veneva
Law and Economics Expert

Maria has a background in law, management and finance, and is experienced in conflict resolution and business mediation. She is a valuable consultant for all of ELC’s trainees with her extensive working experience in Bulgaria and abroad. She is especially knowledgeable about German and Swiss business in Bulgaria.

Her publications include “The character of the Public Procurement in the Bulgarian Law“ (Germany, 2000) and several others on doing business in Switzerland.

Albena Kuzmanova
Bulgarian Language Teacher

Albena is a highly skilled Bulgarian language teacher. She has degrees in Bulgarian, English and French languages and provides tutoring and translations/interpretations. She also teaches Bulgarian to foreigners (through English and French) at university.

Albena has worked extensively with 6 to 66 year-old students and uses more than 15 systems of language training for foreigners. Together with Svetlana she prepares the language module and offers additional Bulgarian language courses.

Anna Galabova
Trainer

Anna’s degree in Intercultural Business Administration from the Lauder Business School in Vienna (Austria) and her extensive informal education work with children make her an invaluable asset to the team. She frequently assists with interpretation and the concept formulation of programs and materials.

Languages: Fluent in English, Spanish and German; beginner in read and spoken Hebrew.
